Charity Donation & Fundraising Requests

At New Pastures Home, we are big on community! We thrive in large-part to the wonderful Newport community who shop with us, and engage with our workshops, events and online sales channels, as well as in-store. Therefore, we believe it is important to give back by supporting local charities, clubs & associations in return. Due to the overwhelming numbers of requests for donations, we now operate on a application basis, whereby our customers get to vote on the charities, clubs & associations that they would like to see us support. To be considered for future donations from NPH, please read the terms & conditions, and submit a full application below.

Best wishes,

Hywel & Dean

How To Apply?

Email a full application, including all requested information, to [email protected], with 'Charitable Donation & Fundraising Request' as the email header/title.

What must be included to be accepted for consideration (read our terms & conditions below before submitting):

  1. Letter of Authority (LOA) from your charity, club or organisation, attached to the email, which explains briefly what you are fundraising for, and how the money raised will be used to better the lives of the people in our local community.

  2. Name, address, registration number, contact details of the charity/club/organisation headquarters, as we vet all applications.

  3. Your full name, address, email, contact number, and position at charity/club/organisation.

  4. Details of how our business and donation will be promoted within your charity/club/organisation (social media/email circular etc). Where possible, we will promote our chosen charities and share information with our customers on how to get involved.

Terms & Conditions

  • Requests will only be considered from legitimate registered charities, clubs and organisations. Registration numbers & parent bodies will be vetted. Charities must have a registered charity number with the charity register. Sports clubs must be registered with their local/county association and have documentation to prove this.

  • Newport charities, clubs and organisations will be prioritised when considering applications on the assumption that all terms & conditions, and application requirements are met.

  • A headed 'letter of authority' (LOA) needs to be provided from the parent body/charity when making an application. This letter should contain the name & address of the charity/club/organisation, the registration number, details on what the donation will be used for, and a confirmation from the charity/club/organisation leadership to give the individual authority to apply & receive the donation on their behalf. This LOA must also contain a description of the fundraising activity, and how any funds raised will be used to improve the lives of people in their organisation & local community.

  • 100% of all raised funds must go to the charity in question. If any proportion of raised monies does not go directly to the charity, but instead personally benefits individuals, this application will be denied. In the unlikely event of NPH discovering this has occurred retrospectively, this organisation will be declined for future charity fundraising rounds.

  • NPH will support three charities/clubs/organisations per quarter, equating to one a month, twelve a year. Donations are likely to be vouchers to use at our candle bar, which takes place in-store in Newport. This is at the discretion of management and can change without any notice.

  • Applications are open for the first two months of each calendar quarter, with customer voting taking place in the final month of the quarter, ready for donations to be made at the beginning of the next quarter. For example, applications made in October & November will be considered by NPH management in December, before being opened to our customers to vote on who they would like to have supported. Successful bids will then be paid out during the month of January. This will be on a rolling basis throughout the year. Therefore, it is advisable to plan charitable donation requests in advance to avoid disappointment.
