Candle Making Workshops
Hosted at New Pastures Home, 47 Commercial Street, Newport, NP201LP.
Enjoy a fun and informative candle-making workshop with chandlers and business owners, Hywel & Dean, of New Pastures Home. Learn the techniques, explore a wide range of fragrances and make your own unique candle(s)! Perfect for socialising with friends, parties and many other functions.

Your workshop will include:
Welcome & introductions.
- 'Guess The Fragrance' activity/game.
- Exploring over 85 fragrances.
- Creating your own unique blend for your candle/s.
- Learning the process of making a candle from beginning to end.
Learn about:
- Different wax types;
- Fragrance and essential oils;
- Base, middle & top notes;
- Wick types;
- Wax and fragrance measurements.
After you have enjoyed your workshop, there will be an opportunity to make the most of your exclusive 15% discount in our shop.
Private Party Workshop
Birthday to celebrate? Or just fancy making your own beautiful candles for your home? If you would like to book a private workshop, please contact us at [email protected] or via the booking form above.
Private workshops are subject to a minimum booking value of £125. Maximum of 12 people per party.
Payment for workshops are required in full, in advance. There is a no refund policy on workshops, but in the event of emergencies, we will try our best to offer an alternate date for you to enjoy your workshop. This is at the discretion of New Pastures Home management.
On the day of your workshop, feel free to bring your own refreshments to enjoy (glasses are available upon request). As a part of your package, you will receive a 15% off discount on all purchases made in our shop immediately after the workshop. This offer expires upon leaving the shop and cannot be used in the future.
Terms & Conditions - Workshops & Candle Bar
- Refunds are not available on any workshop or candle bar events.
- If you are unable to make your booked workshop/candle bar, the date may be transferred to a different date if 48 hours notice is given before the start time of the event that you can no longer make (on management discretion).
- In the event of a 'no show', the booking will be forfeited and no refund offered.
- Full payment is required upfront. Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve places on workshops/candle bar without payment due to the demand of our events, and limited seats available.
- For workshop bookings, one paying place admits one person only. Unfortunately we do not have the seating capacity to allow non-paying family/friends to attend. Therefore, if you wish to attend with a friend/family member, each person will need to book their own place. (This does not apply to Candle Bar bookings - a family member &/or friend can attend without having to make their own candle).
- Management's decision is final.
- By booking onto our workshops/candle bar experiences, you agree to abide by the terms & conditions set out above.
